Pastoral and Academic Support - Secondary School

Full Time

We're looking for a passionate and proactive Pastoral and Academic Leader (PAL) to join a forward‑thinking secondary school. Whether you join on a term‑time or full‑year basis, your role will be central to shaping the wellbeing, behaviour, and progress of pupils.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading on pupil behaviour, wellbeing and academic support
• Collaborating with staff, families, and external agencies to ensure every student is safe, seen, and supported
• Promoting positive behaviour and helping young people build self‑belief and independence
• Working closely with the Assistant Head for Inclusion to deliver holistic student support

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

• Have experience in pastoral, learning, or wellbeing support
• Know how to build trust with young people, staff, and families
• Have a confident, calm presence and excellent communication skills
• Want to work in a setting that values development—for students and staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
