Job summary

UTAC Millbrook in the UK is seeking an Engineer to join the Passive Safety team. You will support a broad range of passive safety and impact tests, prepare test articles with instrumentation, and interact with customers and witnessing authorities.

The role combines hands-on test preparation and data analysis, with opportunities to advance knowledge across passive safety while contributing to method improvements and reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with hand-on mechanical testing and data capture.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and testing methods.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with customers and witnesses to define test requirements.
• Prepare test plans, instrumentation, and data collection setup.
• Execute tests in the Servo Sled and analyse results.
• Produce technical reports and support method improvements.
• Collaborate with the Passive Safety team on projects.
