Job description

Dorset Travel coordinate the transport provision for children and young people with additional needs within Dorset as well as out of county. The team also supply and support transport need for Mainstream, Child Care as well as Adults.

A Regular Passenger Assistant is required from the Poole Area contracted at approximately 12.50 hours per week - Term Time Only commencing at £12.85 per hour.

The role of a Passenger Assistant is to support children and young people with additional needs providing assistance/support in maintaining a safe environment on the journey from/to home/school.

This vacancy is to support a young person/s serving Beaucroft College, Wimborne.

Candidates need to be available morning and afternoon to coincide with school opening and closing times.

Dorset Travel is looking for caring, flexible and responsible passenger assistant who have:

You must be physically fit with the ability to run, bend, stretch, push, pull, lift, carry and kneel to provide the care required for the position of a Passenger Assistant.
