Passenger Transport - Community Companions – Casual Passenger Assistant

We are reviewing and interviewing applicants at County Hall in Trowbridge weekly. We will stop accepting applications when sufficient candidates have been received.

We are looking for kind, reliable, and community‑minded individuals to join our casual bank of Passenger Assistants across Wiltshire. This is a flexible role, perfect if you want to work on specific days or prefer short‑term assignments.

Responsibilities

• Support drivers to ensure vulnerable students travel safely and comfortably to and from school.
• Assist with wheelchairs and other mobility equipment as required.
• Work with a close‑knit team and maintain professionalism and safety at all times.

Qualities / Skills

• Kind, patient, empathetic, and genuinely want to make a positive impact in the community.
• Reliable, punctual and willing to adapt to a casual schedule (10‑25 hours per week, various contracts).
• Confidence with handling mobility equipment is a plus.
• Basic communication skills and teamwork.

Key Details

• Hourly rate: £12.65 – £13.05 per hour.

• Driver will pick you up from your front door and drop you off at the end of your shift.
