Parts Apprentice- Ayr

Salary: £10.50 per hour

Shifts: Dayshift for the first 3-6 months and then day/back shift rotating.

Dayshift: 08.00 am - 16.45pm Mon - Thurs, 08.00am - 13.30pm Fri

Backshift: 14.30pm - 22.30pm Mon - Thurs, 12.30pm - 21.00pm Fri

07.00am - 13.00pm Sat

We have a rare opportunity to join us as an Apprentice Parts Advisor at our Teesside depot. Don’t worry if you don’t have experience within this type of role, we will support you to develop your skills within your new role.

What you'll do:
  • Forecasting customer demand
  • Processing orders
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries of Vehicle parts
  • Receiving and storing of vehicle Parts
  • Lead the creation/development of Standard Operating Procedures
  • Complete supply chain documentation for audit requirements
  • Resolving problems including customer service issues
  • Identify, manage and escalate risks to the business
Who are you?
  • Driving Licence required
  • Able to identify different parts using catalogues and systems.
  • Numerical ability to be able to work with part numbers.
  • To be able to effectively communicate at all levels both written and verbally with people inside the organization as well as external customers.
  • Selling/influencing others to buy additional parts.
  • Documenting/recording information.
  • IT literate to competently use DMS and associated software & systems.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic and approachable.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Flexible and positive approach to changing circumstances / priorities.
  • Commercial awareness.
