As Partnerships Director, your role will be to grow our existing partnerships and secure new partnerships within Global 2000 multinational companies in CSR/Social Impact, Marketing, and Talent functions.
This is a multi-faceted role that includes partnership development, understanding of programming, concept note development, as well as proposal writing.
Leveraging your deep understanding of the social impact space and ecosystem of partners, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our revenue targets, as well as the development of our programs and strategic positioning. Your proficiency in managing public-private partnerships and navigating grants and tenders will also be key to your success.
Deep understanding of the social impact space and/or EdTech space, especially youth engagement and education, is a prerequisite.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Own and lead the Social Impact and Business Development strategy within your portfolio, in collaboration with the Partnerships team and the Leadership Team.
- Leverage Goodwall and your personal network to strengthen and scale existing partnerships and cultivate new relationships with key actors in the sector, using your knowledge of the sector and stakeholders to identify funding opportunities.
- Manage complex relationships with partners, including Fortune 500 companies, foundations, governmental agencies, UN agencies, and other organizations.
- Lead proposal and concept note writing for multi-million dollar partnerships.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve proposal quality, clarity, and standardization, aligning with social impact goals and best practices.
- Utilize your expertise in impact measurement to enhance our Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) strategies to assess program effectiveness.
- Translate your understanding of the social impact landscape into innovative strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Serve as Goodwall’s social impact specialist, acting as the internal and external go-to person for inquiries and partner conversations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging tools, integrating them into the organization’s strategy.
A hands-on, organized professional who can deliver excellence with attributes such as:
- 10+ years of experience in sales/business development in designing large-scale social impact and/or EdTech programs.
- Proven results in fundraising, proposal development, and creating large-scale partnerships with global organizations.
- Exceptional relationship management skills, understanding diplomacy, and adapting to partner needs.
- Experience in partnership creation from co-creation to contract signing, including negotiation of joint initiatives.
- Extensive experience in developing partnership materials: presentations, proposals, budgets, contracts, reports, etc.
- Ability to leverage multi-stakeholder partnerships and diverse funding sources.
- Entrepreneurial, data-driven growth mindset.
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment working with diverse international partners and colleagues.
- Comfort working autonomously in a distributed environment, using tools like Salesforce and Notion.
