Office: 3 days a week with the team in the London office (plus plenty of time at events)
Reports to: Jules Robertson, Co-founder & CEO
About Us
Tally Workspace finds London's best startups and scaleups their next office. Serviced, managed or leased, we find the space, negotiate the deal and make sure our clients know they got it right. We also run Tally Flex for pay-as-you-go desks and meeting rooms.
We work with companies like Butternut Box, InPost, Trumpet, Jumpstart and FYXER. We're free to clients and paid by operators and landlords.
We're a small and fast moving team. We use AI for everything, and we're building one of London's most exciting workspace businesses from the ground up.
The Role
We're hiring a hustler. Someone who builds pipeline the way a founder does: knows everyone, hears about the funding round before it's announced, turns a chat at a founder dinner into a signed deal three months later, and nurtures relentlessly.
You'll instinctively know how to make connections and build pipeline. You'll know which scaleups are growing, hiring or moving, and be first through the door when they are. You'll be creative about how you get in front of people, run your own outreach and never let a good lead go cold. And you'll work out how to automate and scale what works with AI, rather than doing the same thing twice.
You'll sit in our sales team, find the opportunities and hand them over warm for the team to close. You'll carry a pipeline number and own it.
What You'll Do
- Find and build creative target lists from LinkedIn, funding news, events and the wider web. Work them yourself, and hand them to the sales team to call and email.
- Run your own outreach, LinkedIn first, then a call, a WhatsApp or an email: targeting, connection campaigns, messaging and follow-up. When something works, run it from the founders’ and sales team’s accounts too.
- Nurture relentlessly and systematically, so nobody who might need an office in the next year forgets us.
- Be visible on LinkedIn: post, comment and stay close to the founders and investors in our world.
Be in the know
- Know which London scaleups have just raised, are hiring fast, are outgrowing their space or have a lease ending, often before it's public.
- Get on the phone to the best opportunities yourself, then pass warm, well-briefed leads to our sales team to close.
- Log lease end dates and timing in HubSpot so we're first in when they come up.
Partners and Referrals
- Look after our existing VC partners: regular catch-ups, portfolio updates and being genuinely useful to their platform teams. We'll introduce you to our network from day one.
- Sign new VC, accelerator, investor and ecosystem partners.
- Run outreach to our partners’ portfolio companies and wider networks, so Tally Workspace is their go-to when they need space.
- Build referral partners beyond VCs: accountants, startup lawyers, fit-out firms and the people who help overseas companies open in London.
- Ask happy clients and partners for introductions, systematically, not just when you remember.
Be out and about
- Be at the startup and scaleup events, dinners, VC portfolio sessions and community meetups where our clients are, from big conferences to 20-person breakfasts.
- Plan where Tally Workspace shows up across the year, with a meetings target for the big ones like London Tech Week: know who we want to meet and get it booked before we're there. Help us host our own events too.
- Get us into the communities where COOs, CFOs and people leads show up.
- Turn conversations into meetings, and meetings into qualified opportunities for the team.
Build channels that last
- Test new ways to find deals every month, tell us what works, and double down on it.
- Use AI and tools like Clay, Apollo and LinkedIn automation to research companies, build lists and run sequences, and turn every good idea into a repeatable process, not a one-off.
- Get our happy clients talking: line up case studies, run the interview, and use them in your outreach to open doors.
- Keep HubSpot clean so we always know where each deal came from.
Your First 90 Days
- Month 1: Learn the market and how we work, meet our VC partners with Jules, and launch your first outreach campaign.
- Month 2: Own your lists and partner relationships, and have the events plan for the next two quarters ready.
- Month 3: Run at your pipeline target, with at least one new channel tested and working.
How We'll Measure Success
- Quarterly pipeline target (based on the fee we earn from clients)
- Number of qualified meetings booked for the sales team quarterly
- Deals closed from the pipeline you sourced.
- Number of new VC and referral partners signed each quarter and actively sending us introductions.
Who You Are
- A hustler. You’ve spent 2 to 5 years in a target-driven BD, partnerships or sales role, ideally at an early-stage startup, and you like having a number on your back.
- Relentless on follow-up. Not afraid to pick up the phone, creative about finding opportunities and disciplined about chasing them.
- A connector. You’re at home in London's startup and VC scene, or you know exactly how to build your way in. Walking into a room of founders and investors energises you.
- Always in the know. You read the funding news, follow the founders, and spot a company about to outgrow its office before it does.
- Fast and technical. You already use Claude, ChatGPT and sales tools day to day, and you’d rather be a process than do the same thing twice.
- An owner. You’d rather be trusted with a goal than handed a playbook.
Office or property experience is a plus, not a must. We'll teach you the market.
What You’ll Get
- Real ownership: your number, your channels, your calls, with direct backing from the CEO.
- Uncapped commission, paid for qualified meetings attended and on deals closed.
- A path to senior leadership as we grow, and the chance to build your own team.
- A team that uses AI daily and will invest in your skills.
- An events and networking budget to put you in the right rooms.
- Pension, MacBook, the usual.
- A team annual trip, regular socials and no politics.
