Job summary

Leading international law firm in the UK is seeking a Partnership Tax Assistant to support partners with their UK personal tax affairs. Based in Liverpool or London, the role offers hybrid working and exposure to high-calibre advisory work within a professional services environment.

You will assist with personal tax returns for partners and self-employed individuals, collaborate with the Finance team, and use Digita and other tax tools, while developing your career in a structured tax practice.

Qualifications

• Previous personal tax experience.
• Experience preparing tax returns.
• Knowledge of UK personal tax.
• ATT or CTA qualified, part-qualified or working towards qualification is desirable.
• Strong Excel, analytical and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of partners' UK personal tax returns.
• Prepare returns for self-employed individuals/partners.
• Extract and review information from HMRC Government Gateway.
• Use commercial tax software, ideally Digita.
• Research tax matters and ensure compliance with UK tax legislation.
• Work closely with partners and the wider Finance team.
