Job summary

Page Personnel in Exeter seeks an Accounts and Tax Business Services Director to lead the accounts and tax practice, manage a UK SME portfolio up to audit threshold, and shape the growth strategy from the Exeter office.

You will combine technical expertise in accounts and tax with business development and team leadership to build a strong client base and mentor staff.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK accountancy qualifications (ACA/ACCA) with ATT/CTA considered a bonus.
• Experience in UK accountancy practice, from small firms to Top Tier.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Exeter-based accounts and tax service line and drive growth.
• Deliver compliant and advisory work across accounts and tax for a varied SME/OMB portfolio.
• Lead business development and hire and grow the local team.
• Provide strategic leadership alongside the senior leadership team.

Joining as Accounts and Tax Business Service Director based from the firms Exeter offices, you will have clear potential to carve a lead office role and career path within this successful firm. You will take on a limited company focused, OMB, SME varied industry portfolio, with clients up to the audit threshold in turnover overseeing the delivery of compliance and advisory accounts, tax and wider associated service provision. Alongside this you will deliver on advisory project work across accounts and significant tax project work and will have further potential to develop growth through leading on business development and hiring and growing the team around you. The Successful Applicant

For this Accounts and Tax Business Services Director role you will be any of, or combination of ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA with a career background developed within UK accountancy practice with skills across both accounts and tax, whilst with a tax advisory skill set being a key requirement. Your career will have developed within a UK accountancy practice firm environment of any size from small, independent accounting firm background, through to the Top Tier firms. You will have developed your career to the Director/Partner levels and will be seeking a challenging new opportunity where you can carve an influential and pivotal role in the future development and growth of this successful, long established firm of chartered accountants.
