Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Breakfast Chef to lead breakfast service across our Partnership Hotels. You’ll work with Head and Sous Chefs, train junior staff, maintain high presentation, manage food orders, and uphold food safety standards while helping to drive sales and guest satisfaction.

You'll track wastage, manage inventory, perform daily safety checks, and partner with Front of House to deliver pitch-perfect service.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional chef qualifications as listed.
• Ability to train junior chefs and kitchen porters.
• Commitment to hygiene and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head and Sous Chef to plan and deliver breakfast offerings.
• Train and develop junior kitchen staff.
• Ensure allergen management and food safety compliance.
• Conduct daily fridge checks, cleaning schedules, PPE, and safety checks.
• Support sales targets by managing food availability and upselling to guests.
• Minimise wastage through accurate food ordering and inventory control.
• Represent the Partnership and deliver outstanding guest experiences.
