Job summary

Pembrokeshire County Council is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) for Narberth C.P. School. This part-time role runs 8:45am–3:15pm, 11.5 hours per week, Fixed Term until 31.08.2027, with a Grade 4 salary of £26,847–£27,274.

You will work in a Welsh-medium class, supporting pupils’ learning and assisting with medical needs and ALN where required. Welsh language ability is essential for this post, and you will collaborate closely with the class teacher to foster independence and social growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with primary-aged children in a school or similar setting.
• Ability to support pupils in a Welsh-medium classroom.
• Willingness to follow healthcare plans for medical needs.
• Experience or willingness to support ALN needs is desirable.
• Strong teamwork and communication with staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality learning support and help pupils access the curriculum.
• Support pupils’ learning within the Welsh-medium class and Progression Step 3.
• Assist with medical needs and follow healthcare plans as required.
