Carrs Billington Agriculture Appleby-in-Westmorland, Cumbria is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our Appleby Country Store team. The role focuses on organising the warehouse and yard, handling arrivals and despatches, and delivering reliable customer service in a rural retail environment.

This part-time position is 26.5 hours per week, offering a supportive team, on-the-job training, and opportunities to develop multi-skill capabilities within our family-owned business.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, takes responsibility and always extremely organised and proactive.
• Active listener.
• Team player, with a genuine interest in helping others.
• Practical problem solver.
• Qualified Forklift Truck Driver with experience in actively loading and unloading vehicles.
• Full UK drivers licence so able to assist in Van deliveries to customers.
• Agricultural knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Organise the warehouse and yard, plus arrivals and despatches of goods.
• Supports other team members to ensure targets and tasks are completed.
• Delivers good working relationships with all team members.
• Promotes the business and work to a required standard.
• Follows company procedures to complete major tasks without assistance.
• Attends training and develops relevant knowledge and skills.
• Assist in maintaining the UFAS and FIAS Merchant Schemes accreditation.
