About Us

Privately owned clinic with a close knit team, together we work to a high standard but we equally don't take it all too seriously. We aim to leave work each day happy with all we have achieved.....and on time!

Just on the outskirts of Plymouth, 10 minutes to the sea, 5 to the moors - great for exploring but not out in the sticks!

The Role

• Minimum 20 hours a week
• Flexible on which days and how many hours, but would like a fixed weekly schedule to facilitate continuity of care
• Superb first opinion small animal practice with an established network of secondary care providers, both on site and in the locality.
• No OOH or on call requirement
• Clinic opening hours 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, Saturday 9am to midday
• No branches, single site with everything we need to hand
• Loyal and supportive clients, because we listen and provide a consistently good level of service and experience – whatever the outcome.
• Clinical freedom and contextualised care – we have always had exactly this approach to our patients and their owners
• No targets- we believe this is completely counter-intuitive in medicine. Just do your best by each patient and we will support you to be able to deliver a good standard of clinical care
• RVNs triage most appointments, taking and condensing histories and building rapport and relationships with clients so you can save your brain space for clinical thinking time
• Well organised diary including time for scheduled telephone appointments for lab results and in-patient updates
• Can accommodate those with an existing area of interest (medicine, imaging etc). Likewise, more than happy for you to find a niche here and take that to the next level – what’s good for you is good for our patients too!
• Experienced and proactive team: 3 RVNs, 2 receptionists, 1 slightly creaky vet and a practice cleaner to make sure it all always looks great
• Supportive clinic owners who make sure all equipment and premises is in tip top working order and you are too!
• Spacious facility: separate cat and dog waiting areas, consulting rooms and wards, separate dental suite, large airy theatre, 5 consulting rooms, separate prep and treatment areas
