Job summary

Dundee and Angus College on Gardyne Campus, Dundee, is recruiting part-time variable lecturers to join the Essential Skills team in Mathematics, Numeracy, English and Communication.

You will be educated to degree level or hold an equivalent qualification, with experience delivering Mathematics or English at National 5 and Higher level essential. The college will help you register with the GTCS and supports necessary training to gain registration.

• Degree level or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area.
• Willingness to deliver courses at various levels with a strong team ethos.
• Experience in supporting Mathematics or English at National 5 and Higher level is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Essential Skills courses in Mathematics, Numeracy, English and Communication.
• Support preparation and marking activities and liaise with colleagues as part of a team.
• Participate in training and development to support GTCS registration.

Part-time Variable Lecturer - Essential Skills
Working Hours: Variable

Rate of Pay: £23.85 - £28.71 per hour plus preparation and marking allowance, and holiday pay (Dependent on experience)

Campus: Gardyne Campus, Gardyne Road, Dundee, DD5 1NY

We are looking to recruit supply lecturers to join the Essential Skills team in the following areas:

• Mathematics and Numeracy
• English and Communication

You will be educated to degree level or hold an equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area. A strong team ethos and the willingness to deliver courses at various levels are required, with experience in supporting Mathematics or English at National 5 and Higher level essential. Expertise in other core skill areas and the ability to contribute to the delivery of them at a basic level would be an advantage.

If successful Dundee and Angus College will help you to gain registration with the General Teaching Council Scotland (GTCS). The College will work with you and support you to achieve the qualifications and professional learning required for registration, you must be willing to undertake any training and development necessary to gain registration.
