Job Title: Flexible Teaching Assistant
Location: Taunton and surrounding areas
Hours: Weekdays only, 8:30am–3:30pm (no evenings or weekends)
Pay Rate: £89 per day – paid weekly
Job Type: Flexible / Part‑time – Term time only

Axcis Education is seeking enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our team of flexible Teaching Assistants supporting schools across Taunton. This role is ideal for anyone wanting meaningful work that fits around other commitments – such as university studies, creative projects, childcare, or additional jobs. You’ll have the chance to support children with special educational needs (SEND) in welcoming school environments, helping them grow in confidence and achieve their potential while keeping your evenings and weekends free and gaining valuable experience.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, under the guidance of the class teacher
  • Assisting children with special educational needs such as autism, ADHD, and social, emotional or behavioural challenges
  • Encouraging positive learning experiences and helping children develop life skills
  • Choosing your availability each week using the Axcis app – work when it suits you
