Job summary

Home Bargains in Chard, Somerset is hiring Store Team Members for part‑time, permanent roles. 16 hours per week with shifts 5pm–9pm. Pay rates: £12.71 per hour (18–20) and £13.00 per hour (21+).

As part of a fast‑paced, customer‑facing team you will greet customers, stock shelves across departments, and help keep displays tidy. Flexible evening and weekend availability is required, with shifts balanced to ensure time off.

Responsibilities

• Be the smile that makes a difference: you will be the face of Home Bargains, providing enthusiastic customer service by assisting with product queries and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Teamwork makes the dream work: you will support your team to maintain high standards across the store.
• Keep the momentum going: unload deliveries and swiftly get stock out on the shelves, making sure everything’s ready for our customers to find what they need.
• No two days are the same: you will be trained across multiple areas of the business, handling tills, cash transactions, restocking shelves, and adapting to roles in Café, Bakery, or Garden Centre.
