Job summary

Heron Foods is seeking a Senior Part-Time Sales Assistant to help run the store and lead the team on busy days. You will motivate staff, maintain excellent customer service, and ensure shelves are well stocked and presented.

You’ll also assist with stock, deliveries, and act as a keyholder when management is away, including opening and closing the store. In this role, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced retail environment where leadership matters and every day brings new challenges.

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable, and professional with a passion for leadership.
• Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a busy, moving workplace.
• Previous leadership experience in retail or hospitality; bonus for key-holder experience.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and take ownership in supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and motivating the team to deliver exceptional results.
• Ensuring high standards of customer service and resolving queries effectively.
• Maintaining an impeccable store presentation with well-stocked and tidy shelves.
• Assisting with stock management and overseeing deliveries.
• Acting as a keyholder and taking responsibility for the store in the absence of management (including openings and closes).
