Job summary

Home Bargains is looking for Store Team Members to focus on cleaning and hygiene throughout the store. You will keep the shop floor and staff areas clean, safe and welcoming for customers and colleagues, while also performing other Store Team Member duties as needed.

The role offers part-time hours up to 20 hours per week, with shifts may include late finishes. Rates are £12.71 per hour (18–20) or £13.00 per hour (21+), and a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Be aged 18+ as per health and safety requirements.
• Be reliable, punctual and take pride in cleanliness.
• Willing to undertake cleaning duties and operate cleaning machinery after training.
• Be flexible to support other Store Team Member duties and shifts.
• Shift patterns may include early starts from 5am or late finishes up to 10pm.

Responsibilities

• Operate cleaning equipment safely and according to training.
• Clean and sanitise staff areas, toilets, bathrooms and communal spaces.
• Sweep, mop, dust and clean shop floors, shelving and displays.
• Identify spills or hazards and maintain a safe environment.
• Ensure cleaning materials are stored safely.
• Complete additional cleaning duties to maintain store standards.
• Welcome customers and assist with queries with friendly service.
• Support replenishing stock, deliveries and product displays.
• Assist with till operations and other shop floor activities when required.
• Work with colleagues to ensure the store runs smoothly.
