Job summary

Heron Foods in Barnard Castle is seeking a Store Assistant for part-time hours to support our busy team. You’ll help unload deliveries, keep shelves stocked, greet customers and assist with daily shop duties.

This hands-on role is ideal for flexible individuals who enjoy a fast-paced retail environment and working as part of a friendly team. 8 hours per week, with pay up to £12.71 per hour depending on age.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, sales or hospitality is preferred but not essential.
• Enjoy helping customers and being part of a team.
• Able to handle a busy retail environment with confidence.

Responsibilities

• Help unload and organise deliveries to keep stock flowing.
• Keep shelves neat, tidy, and fully stocked to provide a great shopping experience.
• Greet customers and offer assistance when needed with a friendly, helpful approach.
• Work together with your team to meet daily targets and maintain store standards.
