Job summary

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a part-time Speciality Doctor to join the Mother and Baby Unit in Chester. The post is for 3 days a week (6 PAs), 9am–5pm, and requires GMC registration and a current Licence to Practise.

The unit provides specialist care for women with mental health issues during pregnancy and the first year postpartum, with in-patient beds and cross-site referrals as needed.

Qualifications

• MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
• Minimum 4 years experience in post graduate training, incl. two in a specialty training programme in general adult acute psychiatry.
• Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
• Additional clinical qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support care for inpatients on the Mother and Baby Unit.
• Provide consultation and advice to the team and community services.
• Assist with perinatal mental health input within the multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure compliance with GMC licence to practise and statutory requirements.
