Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking a Specialist Mentor for University of Bedfordshire’s Luton & Bedford campuses. The role offers part-time hours with flexible scheduling, starting September 2026 for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The position focuses on individualized student support, balancing living and study tasks, and developing study skills. You will work to reduce stress, improve time management, and report concerns promptly while upholding confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Active membership with at least one recognised professional organisation at the required level.
• Specialist Mentor MH eligibility referenced in the ad.

Responsibilities

• One-on-one mentoring with students to provide tailored support.
• Help students balance daily living activities and academics.
• Improve organisational skills and time management.
• Assist with breaking down assignments into manageable steps for deadlines.
• Support students in managing stress and anxiety related to studies or daily life.
• Guide students in reflecting on personal and academic experiences.
• Boost students’ confidence by building on existing strengths.
• Maintain communication with Randstad and report concerns promptly.
• Uphold professionalism and confidentiality.
