Randstad Education is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Secondary English Teacher (QTS) for a fantastic long-term, part-time opportunity at a secondary school in Horley.

This role is perfect for a teacher looking for a consistent, reduced timetable while maintaining a rewarding teaching career.

Role Details
  • Position: Secondary English Teacher (Key Stage 3 & 4)

  • Location: Horley

  • Contract: Fixed-Term (Maternity Cover)

  • Working Pattern: 2 Days per Week (Tuesdays and Thursdays)

  • Salary: Competitive Daily Rate

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and Delivery: Prepare and deliver engaging lessons across different age groups and abilities, following national curriculum guidance.

  • Student Development: Inspire students to develop strong language and literacy skills in listening, talking, reading, and writing.

  • Assessment: Set, mark, and give constructive feedback on student work and assignments as part of continuous assessment.

  • Classroom Management: Effectively manage classroom behaviour to ensure a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.

  • Collaboration: Work with colleagues to coordinate lessons and contribute to the planning of the school timetable.

Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Status: Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
