Job summary

Edsential Community Interest Company is hiring a Catering Supervisor / Kitchen Assistant to support school catering services across Cheshire West and Chester, Wirral, Halton and Flintshire. The role is 25 hours per week with shifts approx 08:30–13:30 and a term-time schedule with two additional cleaning days, paid over 12 months.

You will lead and supervise kitchen staff, manage records and allergens, coordinate with school staff, and help ensure high standards of hygiene and customer

Qualifications

• Experience running a school kitchen is advantageous.
• Ability to empower and lead a team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present food to high hygiene standards.
• Manage allergens and dietary requirements.
• Complete kitchen administration and health & safety checks.
• Maintain stock, orders and quality assurance.
• Manage relationships with school staff.
• Oversee kitchen staff including timesheets and attendance.
