Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is seeking a motivated Kitchen Assistant on a 20-hour-per-week contract. You’ll be the heart of our operation and join a team that takes pride in its food, brand, and people.

You’ll work Mon-Fri with a 43.6-week-per-year pattern; duties include preparing high-quality meals, keeping the kitchen clean, using equipment safely, assisting with deliveries, and upholding food hygiene and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced kitchen environments.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage tasks.
• Good teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas
• Ensuring the correct use of all machinery and equipment
• Assisting with the loading or unloading of deliveries and supply vehicles
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
