Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales is seeking a School Health Assistant to join the School Nursing Service in Caernarfon. The role is 22.5 hours per week, Band 3, based at Bodfan bach, Caernarfon, and involves supporting the Child Health Promotion Programme and related admin tasks.

You will work alongside School Nurses to deliver screening programmes (child measurement, vision and audiology) and contribute to a responsive, equity-focused service for children and families

Qualifications

• Good standard of education including GCSE English and Maths A-C or equivalent Level II qualification.
• Minimum of 46 credits from the CQFW Level 2 mapped to the job role.
• Community experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support School Nurses in delivering the Child Health Promotion Programme.
• Contribute to the Child Measurement Programme and to vision and audiology screening.
• Provide general administration support.
