Job summary

Harris Federation is seeking a part-time cleaner to join the maintenance and premises team at Harris Academy Ockendon. The role is 42 weeks per year with 10 or 12.5 hours per week, paying £7,091-£8,900.

The successful candidate will maintain classrooms, offices, corridors and toilets, follow health and safety guidelines, and support a positive school environment. Experience in reliable, flexible teamwork and good time management is valued.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning of parts of the academy as allocated, including classrooms, offices, corridors, stairs and toilets.
• Vacuuming, wiping, dusting and mopping.
• Cleaning toilets, basins, tiling, glass areas.
• Emptying bins in allocated area.
• Disposing of waste as instructed.
• Machine cleaning as appropriate.
• Safe storage and use of materials.
• To comply with Health & Safety regulations and guidelines, and undergo training as required.
• To report issues and Health & Safety issues to manager.
• To check closed windows doors and turn off lights.
