Amey, a leading facilities and estate services provider, invites applications for a Cleaner/Housekeeper at Outwood Academy Shafton, Barnsley. This on-site role offers a 12.5-hour week with a £13.45 hourly rate, working 15:00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday, delivering high-quality cleaning to meet contractual standards.

You will join a team focused on safe, compliant learning environments, support carbon reduction efforts, and uphold H&S standards across the contract.

Qualifications

• Providing cleaning services meeting contractual requirements.
• Managing stock levels and ordering consumables.
• Operating cleaning machinery safely per guidelines and training.
• Ensuring high-quality service for building users.
• Supporting local and business zero carbon programmes where appropriate.
• Maintaining H&S standards across the contract.

Responsibilities

• Providing a cleaning service that delivers to our contractual requirements.
• Controlling stock levels and ordering consumables.
• Operating machinery safely and in line with the guidelines and training provided.
• Ensuring a high-quality service is provided to the building users at all times.
• This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
• Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
