Job summary

MCS is seeking a part-time Rowing Coach to join as soon as possible for the 2026-2027 academic year. The role involves coaching sessions mainly for Years 11–13 within a thriving sports department of an outstanding school, with a strong emphasis on pupil welfare and communication with pupils, parents and staff.

The successful candidate will have coaching experience at a high level, good IT skills, and a clean driving licence with willingness to drive minibuses.

Responsibilities

• Show clear enthusiasm for coaching Rowing and plan/deliver engaging sessions from Year 8 to Year 13 (focus likely on Years 11–13).
• Maintain high organisation and strive for excellence in sport and widening participation.
• Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, staff and the local community.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for sport as part of the broader extra‑curricular provision.
• Be positive, caring and collaborative with colleagues leading sports teams, and participate in all aspects of school life.
