Job summary

The University of Surrey invites applications for a part-time (0.8 FTE) fixed-term post, commencing March 2027 and running to December 2028, within the Cognition, Genes and Developmental Variability Lab. You will join a team of experts in spatial cognition and mathematics, contributing to an evidence-based programme for early childhood mathematics learning.

You will support development work to ready the ECMG Spatial Reasoning Toolkit for a trial and later deliver the trial in nursery settings

Qualifications

• PhD or near completion in Psychology or related field.
• Experience conducting cognitive behavioural studies.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of the ECMG Spatial Reasoning Toolkit for randomised control trial readiness (Phase 1) and delivery in nursery settings (Phase 2).
• Communicate with nurseries, develop material, and support implementation of the ECMG SRT programme.
• Contribute to report writing, presentations and publications.
