The Department has a substantial research programme, with major funding from Medical Research Council (MRC), Wellcome Trust and National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and provides highly rated medical training in psychiatry. The Head of Department is Professor Belinda Lennox.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Professor Philip McGuire’s research group, contributing to research investigating the effects of cannabidiol (CBD) in psychosis. The postholder will support the neuroimaging assessment of participants involved in these studies. The role does not involve the clinical assessment of participants.

About the Role

The post is funded for 3 years and is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.

You will contribute to the use of neuroimaging in the assessment of participants in the STEP programme. You will manage your own research and administrative activities, within guidelines provided by senior colleagues. You will contribute to wider project planning, including ideas for new research projects.

About You

You will hold a relevant first degree, together with some relevant research experience. You will possess sufficient specialist knowledge and experience in research to work within established research programmes. Experience in psychosis research is desirable.
