Job summary

Northumberland County Council invites applications for a part-time Regulatory Lawyer to join the Regulation Team within Legal Services. The role offers hybrid working between County Hall, Morpeth, and home, with attendance at local courts as required.

The post carries a starting salary from £25,964 to £28,146 for 18.5 hours, depending on PQE. For <2 years PQE, the band is £20,588–£22,764, moving to band 10 after two years and probation successful completion.

Qualifications

• A qualified solicitor or barrister or fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives who holds a current practicing certificate.
• Proficient at using IT systems including Microsoft Office and legal case / document management systems
• Able to work as part of a team, but also self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Join the Regulation Team within Northumberland County Council’s Legal Services.
• Work on a hybrid office/home basis with court attendance as required.
• Manage a busy, varied caseload with attention to detail and organisational skills.
