This role is predominantly office based and offers a healthy work‑life balance.

About You

As a Registrar you will undertake a wide range of duties to support the smooth running of the department and provide cover for colleagues when needed. We are looking for someone who is committed to delivering a high‑quality, customer‑focused frontline service – whether by phone, email, or in person. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is vital in your day‑to‑day responsibilities. You will be a team player with strong collaborative and organisational skills, confident using IT systems, and capable of recording information accurately while identifying and questioning any anomalies.

There will also be opportunities to work additional hours on weekends on a rota basis to conduct a variety of ceremonies. Additional payments will be made for these duties.

  • Hybrid working opportunities to support your wellbeing and work‑life balance.
  • Paid employee volunteering scheme.
  • Local government pension scheme with life insurance cover.
  • Recognition of continuous service attained within the NHS and UKHSA when calculating some benefits (terms and conditions apply).
  • Career development through internal and external training opportunities.
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption and fostering leave.
