Part‑Time Receptionist (Fixed contract / maternity cover)

Location: Northampton, NN3

Pay: £12.94 per hour

Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday (no evenings or weekends)

Based in beautiful, modern offices in Northampton, this is a brilliant chance to join a well‑established team on a fixed‑term contract. From greeting guests & colleagues to keeping the office & reception running smoothly, you’ll be trusted to manage front of house while being recognised for the value you bring to the team.

The Job
  • Welcome visitors and colleagues with warmth and professionalism.
  • Managing calls, sign‑ins and making sure everyone gets to where they need to be.
  • Keep meeting rooms and communal areas organised and presentable.
  • Organise catering, coordinate events, and book accommodation for guests.
  • Keeping an eye on kitchen & office supplies, sorting post, and making sure the little things don’t slip through the cracks.
  • Supporting accessibility needs and making sure everyone feels welcome and supported.
  • Arrange accommodation for visiting trainers or speakers as needed.
  • Advise staff and visitors of parking regulation & volumes.
  • Support with event merchandise, vouchers, and referrals.
What We Need From You
  • Experience in a customer‑facing role – this could be corporate, commercial, hospitality or a combination of this.
  • A natural organiser with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Professional & approachable manner both over the phone and in person.
  • Someone who can juggle tasks without breaking a sweat.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise independently is a must.
  • A proactive team player who gets things done.
Other Details
  • Part‑time: 25 hours a week, Monday to Friday (9am – 2pm, with some flexibility)
  • Fixed‑term contract (15 months)
  • Location: Fully office‑based, Northampton NN3
  • Occasional flexibility needed for early/late meetings or events (with notice, of course).
