Job summary

Independent Lives is seeking a friendly and reliable Personal Assistant to support a woman living independently in her own home in Trowbridge. The role comprises 5 hours per week, split across Monday and Thursday, with on-site meal preparation and light cooking to help her rediscover enjoyment of home-cooked meals.

You will plan meals, assist with shopping and food storage, and ensure meals meet dietary needs including diabetes considerations.

Qualifications

• Ability to cook simple meals and assist with meal planning.

Responsibilities

• Cook home-made meals for the client as requested.
• Help plan weekly meals considering tastes and dietary needs (diabetes).
• Shop with support and organise food supplies.
• Prepare meals in advance and portion for the week.
• Assist with safe storage and food handling.
• Encourage client involvement in meal planning and choices.
