Mercor partners with a leading AI lab to train frontier models on high-quality insurance reasoning data. We seek P&C actuaries and portfolio risk professionals to design pricing, reserving, forecasting, and portfolio-management scenarios while evaluating model outputs against actuarial standards.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in P&C actuarial work, and can communicate complex methods clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional P&C actuarial experience.
• Experience with pricing, reserving, catastrophe modeling, or portfolio risk.
• Ability to explain methods and assumptions clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Strong quantitative reasoning and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and at least one analytical tool.

Responsibilities

• Design pricing, reserving, and portfolio-management scenarios.
• Grade AI-generated responses against structured rubrics.
• Provide written feedback to improve model behavior.
• Prepare analyses and management recommendations.
• Onboard in calibration sessions, contributing to team learning.
