Job description
Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and passionate teacher to join our school on a maternity cover basis. For the right candidate this could turn into a permanent role. There is some flexibility regarding hours, which can be discussed at interview. You will be working closely with our fantastic KS2 team to maintain the high standards of education for our KS2 children.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in English, Maths, Science, and other subjects for KS2 pupils.
  • Use assessment data to monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where all students can thrive.
  • Promote our five core virtues of Respect, Responsibility, Perseverance, Honesty and Kindness.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the school’s curriculum and teaching practices.
  • Maintain clear communication with parents and carers regarding pupil progress.
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour management, ensuring a respectful and focused classroom atmosphere.
The Successful Candidate Will
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2.
  • Be passionate about teaching and have the ability to inspire and motivate children.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • Be a team player, eager to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff.
  • Have excellent communication skills, both with children and adults.
