Job summary

ABM is seeking a reliable cleaner for Newcastle upon Tyne, working Monday to Friday 06:00–08:30 (12.5 hours per week). The role covers general office cleaning, hoovering, mopping, kitchen and toilet areas, and restocking consumables.

You will maintain cleanliness to high standards and follow health and safety procedures. The position requires good attention to detail, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and strong timekeeping.

Qualifications

• Regular attendance and reliability are essential.
• Ability to follow established cleaning routines and schedules.
• Proactively identify and complete tasks to maintain cleanliness.
• Capable of working alone or as part of a team while maintaining quality.
• Punctuality and dependable time management.
• Effective communication with team and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Dusting, disinfecting desks and surfaces to high standards.
• Clean kitchens and toilets to maintain hygiene.
• Hoovering and mopping floors across areas.
• Disinfect high-touch points as per planner.
• Attention to detail on skirtings, sills and fixtures.
• Follow ABM policies and safety procedures.
• Report equipment issues or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Use PPE properly and maintain personal hygiene.
• Log incidents or training needs with line manager.
