Job description

Two to three nights a week.

Responsibilities

1. Help residents who need assistance with washing, toileting and dressing.
2. Help residents who have limited mobility or physical disabilities, making the best use of aids provided.
3. Assist and control of incontinence, providing comfort and dignity.
4. Care for residents who are temporary unwell or dying.
5. Attend hand over, write accurate reports and take part in staff and residents meetings and training sessions when required.
6. Make and change beds where necessary, empty and clean commodes.
7. Launder and iron residents clothing as required & perform domestic duties as instructed.
8. Assist to bed those residents that are still up.
9. Carry out hourly fire and residents checks, unless the resident has specified in their care plan not to be checked hourly.
10. Answer emergency buzzers promptly, give the required attention.
11. Give assurance and help to those residents that require it.
12. Give assistance to those residents getting up.
13. Observe the Home Health and Safety Policy at all times.
14. Ensure that the security of the Home is maintained at all times.
