Job summary

Active Care Group seeks a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine for the Hothfield Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit on a 0.4 FTE basis. You will lead expert medical care for adults with ABI, spinal cord injury, and stroke, working within a multidisciplinary team to optimise recovery and long-term outcomes.

You will provide clinical leadership, develop individualised plans, participate in governance, and contribute to service development within a specialist neuro-rehabilitation service.

Qualifications

• Essential GMC registration and CCT in Rehabilitation Medicine.
• Proven neuro-rehabilitation experience with ABI, stroke, spinal cord injury.
• Strong MDT collaboration and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert medical assessment and ongoing management of complex neuro-rehabilitation patients.
• Lead medical management for ABI, spinal cord injury and stroke within MDT.
• Develop individualized rehabilitation plans with MDT input.
• Conduct ward rounds and case reviews; manage complications of neurological injury.
• Support discharge planning and rehabilitation goal setting.
