Job summary

Allerton Grange School is seeking a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Mathematics) to support the delivery of high-quality maths provision and to assist with resources. This 19.5-hour-per-week role offers flexibility in pattern (eg five mornings or a mix of full/half days) and is initially fixed-term with potential to become permanent.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high-quality mathematics provision, including preparing and adapting resources where needed.
• Motivate and engage students, acting as a positive role model.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, and good organisational and ICT skills.
• Show accuracy and attention to detail when supporting learning and progress.
• Maintain a resilient mindset and a positive approach with students, including in challenging situations.
• Lead learning activities and small group work to support progress in mathematics.
• Be flexible and adaptable to the needs of students and the department.
• Contribute to departmental and whole-school priorities within Maths.
