Job summary

Mercor is seeking computer power users and automation builders to support a research project with a leading AI lab. You will execute real productivity workflows on your Mac to benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models.

The role is part-time (approximately 10–20 hours weekly) with narration of tasks to generate high-quality training data, offering structured responsibilities and an immediate start for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Must own a MacBook/Mac with Apple M-series or Intel, running macOS 15+
• Deep familiarity with macOS apps, keyboard-driven workflows, and system settings
• Experience automating tasks with Shortcuts, Automator, AppleScript, Keyboard Maestro, Raycast, Alfred, Zapier, Make, or shell scripting
• Pursuing or recently completed Masters, or 2–3 years of relevant experience + Bachelors from a prestigious institution
• Ability to clearly explain your reasoning while you work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Part-time commitment of approximately 10–20 hours per week
• Complete and narrate real multi-app productivity and automation tasks on your Mac to create high-quality training data for advanced AI models
• Responsibilities are clearly structured and not high-pressure like internships or full-time consulting roles
• Immediate start preferred
