Job summary

Edenthorpe Hall Primary Academy is seeking a reliable Lunchtime Supervisor to oversee pupils during lunch breaks, indoors and outdoors, ensuring safety and positive behaviour. The role supports children with meals, guides play, and helps create a calm, orderly lunchtime environment.

The post is 5 hours per week (1 hour per day), term-time only, with a closing date of 15 November 2026 and interviews on 20 November 2026. DBS checks and safeguarding commitments apply.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunchtime indoors and outdoors.
• Promote positive behaviour and safe, respectful interactions.
• Support children while they eat and encourage good manners.
• Organise and encourage positive play activities.
• Ensure safety, welfare and wellbeing of pupils at all times.
• Respond to minor incidents and report concerns to staff.
• Help maintain a clean, welcoming lunchtime environment.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and behaviour policies.
