Job description
Part-time Loading Shovel Operative

Pay – £13.25 per hour
Shift pattern – Mon‑Fri, 5.30am – 10.15am (24 hours)
Duration – Temporary ongoing
Start date – ASAP

Responsibilities
  • Operate mobile plant (Loading Shovel and/or ADT) safely and efficiently, carrying out daily safety checks and reporting defects.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping – keep areas clean, tidy and hazard free.
  • Deal with all daily issues professionally and liaise with site management on a regular basis.
  • Be responsible for the plant assets entrusted to you – i.e. materials, plant buildings and equipment and stores used therein and employ them efficiently.
  • Contribute to effective and efficient operation of all plant operations.
  • Monitor and ensure that all stockpiles are to Geotech level 4 rules.

  • Experience operating a loading shovel.
  • Ability to work shifts and weekends as required.
  • Highly motivated general operative with drive and enthusiasm to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills.
