Macclesfield College is seeking a Part Time Lecturer in Creative Media to deliver and assess a range of courses across the Creative Media provision. You will teach across UAL Creative media courses Level 2 and 3 Creative Media Production and Technology qualifications, and contribute to Level 4 delivery in Media and Film.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, Unity or Unreal, plus experience in games art/animation and web development.

Qualifications

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, Unity or Unreal.
• Knowledge of games art and animation; web development desirable.
• familiarity with UAL HE/FE programmes and admin systems.
• Degree in Media/Media Production or equivalent.
• Teaching experience in a similar role.

Responsabilités

• Plan teaching, learning and assessment for college programmes using the appropriate college format to ensure effective learning.
• Deliver teaching and learning to at least a consistently good or outstanding standard to achieve high success rates.
• Assess accurately learners work both formatively and summatively against appropriate awarding body criteria to ensure learners achieve their qualifications.
• Comply with all College quality assurance procedures as prescribed by the Deputy Principal to ensure the achievement of all internal and external audits.
• Use all appropriate resources effectively to ensure that the learners’ experience results in positive learning outcomes and high professional standards.
• Thoroughly prepare suitable teaching, learning and assessment materials for a range of courses/classes and make use of a variety and appropriate learning and teaching methods.

The Role

The post will involve the marketing, delivery and assessment of a range of courses across the Creative Media provision. You will be required to teach across UAL Creative media courses Level 2 and 3 Creative Media Production and Technology qualifications.

The post will involve course leadership, curriculum planning, delivery and assessment of a range of courses across the College curriculum in the areas of Media and Film up to Level 4.

Main Duties for this role include:

• Plan teaching, learning and assessment for college programmes using the appropriate college format to ensure effective learning.
• Deliver teaching and learning to at least a consistently good or outstanding standard to achieve high success rates.
• Assess accurately learners work both formatively and summative against appropriate awarding body criteria to ensure learners achieve their qualifications.

Successful candidates should have:

• Knowledge & Experience of Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, Unity or Unreal
• Knowledge and experience of games art and animation, alongside web development would be desirable
• Ideally knowledge of UAL Further/Higher Education programmes and their associated administration systems
• A current teaching qualification to the required national standards or a willingness to undertake a formal teaching qualification in a timely manner.
• Degree in Media/Media Production or relevant qualification
• Experience in a similar teaching role
