Job summary

Micronclean Ltd in Skegness is hiring a Laboratory Technician on a part-time, permanent basis. The role covers routine testing, sample preparation and reporting using a LIMS system.

You will contribute to the maintenance of the lab, manage records, and support calibration activities. The position requires a biology/chemistry/microbiology degree and good IT and communication skills, plus a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Degree in biology, chemistry, microbiology or related subjects, with some experience of laboratory testing.
• Good IT skills in Microsoft Office and other IT packages.
• Good communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Routine and ad-hoc testing in the Micronclean Laboratory.
• Sample preparation, conditioning, testing and disposal or preservation as needed.
• Reporting, checking and publishing results on a LIMS system.
• Maintenance of the laboratory and calibration activities where applicable.
• Support and develop laboratory testing capabilities.
• Communicate results and scientific knowledge to other business functions.
• Manage laboratory testing activities including microbiological, chemical and physical testing.
• Report and interpret routine testing results and take action as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of testing details and related documents.
