Job summary

New Bridge Horizons is recruiting an Activity and Community Engagement Coordinator to lead a diverse programme of learning, wellbeing, leisure and community opportunities across two sites in Oldham. You will work with attendees, families and partners to promote dignity, choice, independence and inclusion, shaping the Grow, Connect, Contribute and Thrive pathways.

The role requires enthusiasm, creativity and strong organisational skills, with safeguarding at the core of all activities.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, creative and organised individual.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of service users.
• Ability to plan and deliver a diverse programme of activities with partners.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver an engaging programme of activities across Horizons sites and community settings.
• Develop co-produced activities reflecting attendees' interests and support needs.
• Build partnerships with community, health, education, leisure and voluntary organisations.
• Coordinate practical arrangements for delivery: staffing, transport, venues, equipment, budgets and risk assessments.
• Ensure safeguarding, governance and data protection compliance.
• Produce accessible information to support participation and engagement.
• Communicate programmes and updates to attendees, families and staff.
• Monitor participation and outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage activity budgets, maximise value for money and seek external funding.
• Keep up to date with best practices in meaningful activity and inclusion.
