The role is about 25 hours per week with flexible scheduling (Mon/Wed/ Fri options) and a possible on-site accommodation, plus a driver being a bonus but not essential. You must have the right to work in the UK.

Part‑Time Housekeeper Job in Central Cambridge

A lovely family based in central Cambridge are seeking a part-time Housekeeper to join their home. The family have two children, aged 9 and 11, and a cat. They are looking for a proactive, organised and reliable Housekeeper who can work independently and take initiative to ensure the home is kept clean, tidy and running smoothly.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the general housekeeping of the property, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, organising and liaising with contractors when required. The family are looking for someone who is happy to take responsibility for their duties and maintain high standards throughout the home.

The main duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

• General housekeeping and cleaning throughout the property
• Laundry and ironing
• Keeping the home organised, tidy and well presented
• Organising household areas and ensuring everything is kept in order
• Liaising with contractors and arranging access when required
• Reporting any maintenance issues or repairs to the family
• Assisting with general household tasks when required
• Working proactively and using initiative to anticipate the needs of the household
• Maintaining a clean and welcoming family home
• Cooking would be a bonus

The successful candidate will have previous housekeeping experience and be organised, proactive and able to work independently. They should have excellent attention to detail, take pride in their work and be confident managing their responsibilities without needing direction. A driver would be a bonus but is not essential.

Hours:

Approximately 25 hours per week. Ideally, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, although the family are also open to Monday, Wednesday and Friday, or Monday to Friday mornings.

Accommodation:

There is the option of accommodation for a candidate who would like to stay at the property on working days and live out on days off. The accommodation comprises a bedroom with an en‑suite bathroom located in ground floor of the property.
