Job summary

British American Household Staffing is assisting a busy family in central Chichester, West Sussex, seeking an experienced Part-Time Housekeeper to manage daily cleaning, laundry and organisation of their private home. The ideal candidate will work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday for 4 hours each day, starting around 9am, with an hourly rate of about £25.

The position requires discretion, reliability and a pride in maintaining a well-presented home, around children and a nanny joining in

Qualifications

Previous professional housekeeping in a private household.
Ability to work independently and maintain consistent standards.
Discreet, professional and respectful of privacy.
Comfortable around children and pets.
Strong, verifiable references.

Responsibilities

General cleaning and upkeep of the home (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas).
Manage laundry, ironing, folding and wardrobe organization.
Change beds and launder household linens.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and appliances including dishwasher.
Keep household belongings neatly organized and returned to designated places.
Undertake periodic deep cleaning tasks as required.
Care for delicate garments, crystal and possessions.
Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies.
Occasional grocery top-up shopping and small errands.
Work discreetly around children and staff.
