Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board in Abergele is seeking enthusiastic Domestic Assistants to join the Domestic Services Department at Abergele Clinic. The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness, operating cleaning equipment, and restocking supplies.

Training and supervision are provided; uniform and protective clothing are supplied. The post is part-time, Monday to Friday 07:00–12:00, with Welsh language ability desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain standards of cleanliness of floors, furniture and fittings, and remove marks from walls and doors.
• Operate cleaning equipment, including electrical equipment, to achieve cleanliness standards.
• Handle refuse for disposal purposes.
• Replenish supplies of paper towels, toilet tissue, soap and hand moisturiser as required.
• Monitor stocks of cleaning materials and request supplies as necessary.
• Organise day-to-day workload within scheduling guidelines to complete tasks.
• Complete documentation to record full clean completed.
• Demonstrate understanding of specified cleaning methods and frequencies.
• Communicate with Supervisors, patients, visitors and staff to achieve cleanliness standards.
• Ensure compliance with Health Board policies and good practices.
