Part-Time Health & Safety Advisor - Permanent - 3 days a week - Brighton
Our client is an established Carpentry Contractor who work with Tier 1 Contractors. They are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join their team on a part-time basis, working 3 days a week (Max 24 hours a week).
Responsibilities
- Review Health & Safety policies, RAMS and COSHH sheets.
- Create RAMS for new sites.
- Carry out regular site inspections to ensure safe working practices are being adhered to.
- Assist in toolbox talks, Health & Safety training for staff and subcontractors.
- Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near misses and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain PPE equipment records.
- Work closely with Managers and Site Supervisors to promote a positive safety culture across all sites.
- Liaise with external auditors, clients, and regulatory bodies when required.
- Annual SMAS and compliance submission.
- Complete face fit testing.
- Assist with Fire door sign offs and our in-house Quality app.
Requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification (essential).
- Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction or carpentry industry.
- Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and HSE guidance.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Confident in conducting site inspections.
- Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Own transport required for site visits across the South East.
