Overview

Part-Time Health & Safety Advisor - Permanent - 3 days a week - Brighton

Our client is an established Carpentry Contractor who work with Tier 1 Contractors. They are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join their team on a part-time basis, working 3 days a week (Max 24 hours a week).

Responsibilities
  • Review Health & Safety policies, RAMS and COSHH sheets.
  • Create RAMS for new sites.
  • Carry out regular site inspections to ensure safe working practices are being adhered to.
  • Assist in toolbox talks, Health & Safety training for staff and subcontractors.
  • Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near misses and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain PPE equipment records.
  • Work closely with Managers and Site Supervisors to promote a positive safety culture across all sites.
  • Liaise with external auditors, clients, and regulatory bodies when required.
  • Annual SMAS and compliance submission.
  • Complete face fit testing.
  • Assist with Fire door sign offs and our in-house Quality app.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification (essential).
  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction or carpentry industry.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and HSE guidance.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Confident in conducting site inspections.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Own transport required for site visits across the South East.
